The 59-year-old actor shared how he broke his kneecap while filming. Reeves, who is known for his action-packed filmography with movies like The Matrix and the John Wick series, revealed how he was felled by a rather innocuous thing.

Colbert asked Reeves, “What happened? Who got to you?”

The actor replied playfully in a tough guy voice, “No one got to me,” adding, “Accident got to me.”

“Were you jumping from building to building? Were you doing a cartwheel past razor blades? What were you doing?” Stephen further probed.

“No, Stephen, I was walking into the dressing room, a room. I will tell it quick,” Keanu explained.

Keanu shared that it happened while he was filming a scene for an upcoming comedy titled Good Fortune with Aziz Ansari, and Seth Rogen.

The three of them were in a cold plunge, and Keanu was enjoying it. After they finished, he started doing the “cold shuffle” in a room with protective carpets.

Unfortunately, his foot got caught in a pocket as he was doing so.

Keanu stood up to demonstrate what had happened by walking in front of Stephen’s desk and showed how his knee gave way.

“And I spiked. Like, spiked,” he said, mimicking what had happened to him. “Just drove it into the ground.”

“My patella, kneecap, cracked like a potato chip. But I didn’t know that. But then once my knee was blowing up,” Keanu went on.

“Comedy is hard, man,” Keanu added as a joke.

“This was not an action film with Aziz and Rogen,” Stephen clarified once again.

“No, it was comedy,” Keanu confirmed.

“Welcome to my life,” Stephen joked.

Keanu had been spotted filming while on crutches in January this year with an ice pack on his knee.

Good Fortune not only stars Aziz Ansari but will also be his directorial debut. The actor wrote and co-produced the movie which also stars Sandra Oh and Keke Palmer.

The parents of Ryleigh Hillcoat-Bee, a three-year-old who died of a rare condition, are left outraged after learning their daughter’s life could be saved.

The little girl suffered from rhabdomyolysis, a disorder that breaks down muscles. She died of complications from the condition that affects one in 200,000 people in the UK.

Coroner Alan Wilson for Blackpool and Fylde determined that the doctors who treated her failed to notice the “red flags” before discharging her from the hospital after a five-day stay.

They had missed opportunities to closely examine Ryleigh’s lack of mobility prior to her discharge. She passed away three months later.

Doctors should have been aware that the girl’s deteriorating physical state could be linked with a neuromuscular problem.

According to reports, when she was admitted into Blackpool Victoria Hospital, doctors ran tests and her blood results showed abnormal readings, including ‘extraordinarily high’ levels of Creatine Kinase, likely indicating a muscle injury or disease. Despite this, doctors determined the girl suffered from a chest infection or hepatitis. She appeared slow, floppy, and lethargic.

Coroner Wilson confirmed to request evidence from the doctors involved in Ryleigh’s care at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, as reported by Blackpool Gazette.

Medical negligence attorney Diane Rostron noted, “The hospital was given clear advice… to get specialist advice from a neuromuscular specialist.”

According to Rostron, had the hospital sought specialist input, they could have “diagnosed rhabdomyolysis” and informed the family, allowing them to explore further treatment options.

“My hubby decided something that rendered me mute. He handed his mother our house’s key. When I learned, I became enraged. We had not decided upon or talked about this. But my mother-in-law grinned at me and said something I will never forget before I could sort my emotions: “You must have forgotten that I paid for this house!” Her comments really smacked like a ton of bricks. I stood there in shock. When I turned to my husband for help, he shrugged and said, “She paid for the house, so we can’t say no.”

I thought I had no power. Though I knew I had to act, I could not stop him from handing her the keys. Not because I didn’t trust my mother-in-law completely, but more because something about the circumstances bothered me, I surreptitiously set a camera in the house.

What is required:

Half a liter of butter

1 minced little onion

oil from olives, 1/4 cup

1 pound of sliced mushrooms (any kind, including portobello, cremini, button, etc.)

Two garlic cloves, minced

thyme, either half a teaspoon dry or one teaspoon fresh

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Boil 3 cups of chicken or vegetable stock.

A 1.5-quart measuring cup of heavy cream; 1 tablespoon of all-purpose flour may be added for thickening purposes.

For decoration, you may add chopped fresh parsley.

Steps to take:

In a large saucepan, melt the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Brown the mushrooms. Simmer, stirring often, for 8 to 10 more minutes or until the sliced mushrooms begin to brown and release their juices.

Aromatherapy for Flavor: To soften, sauté the chopped onion for about 5 minutes. After a minute or two, stir in the minced garlic and thyme, and keep cooking until they release their aroma. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

On the other hand, a Roux is an option: Simmer, whisking constantly, for a another minute or two as the mushrooms cook. This will cause the soup to thicken.

Slowly add the broth and mix well, stirring regularly. To let the flavors to blend, simmer for 10–15 minutes after the ingredients reach a boil.

You may use an immersion blender or carefully pour some of the soup into a blender to smooth it up if you like.

While stirring, slowly heat the heavy cream or half-and-half, being cautious not to boil. To taste, adjust the salt and pepper seasoning.

Spoon the soup into each dish before serving, and if desired, garnish with chopped fresh parsley.

The accident involving Donald Trump on Saturday, according to the Rev. Joel Renkema, was also a trumpet blast, a “clear and obvious message to our country.” Political discourse had spiraled out of control, he told parishioners at Visalia Christian Reformed Church, urging them to stop “hating and demonizing our opponents.”

“This is a warning shot!” Renkema boomed. “Can we hear it? Will we listen?”

By the time worshipers gathered for services nationwide on Sunday, less than 24 hours had passed since a suspected assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. “As Americans, we all have to be horrified today at what took place not too far from here in Butler last evening,” said the Rev. Kris Stubna during Sunday remarks at St. Paul Cathedral, a Catholic parish in Pittsburgh.

The Trump campaign gave no indication that the former president attended church on Sunday. However, someone who spoke to him described him as almost “spiritual” about the near-assassination attempt, feeling as though he had been “handed a gift from God” by surviving.
