What my wife’s rejection taught me about self-worth

My wife Emma has always had a unique sense of style. The way she combines her outfits brings admiration from everyone who knows her, as well as passersby. Her self-confidence is truly inspiring.

One day, however, she started questioning her beauty after she was humiliated by a clerk from a lingerie store.

Namely, Emma saw a sign that the store, which she loved because of the products they offered, as well as the luxurious display window, was hiring.

She was already looking for a job, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Excited and hopeful, she entered the store and greeted the store assistant, who didn’t appear welcoming.

Emma asked how she could apply for the job, and the sales assistant looked her up and down with a sneer before delivering the blow: “Look, I don’t think you’re pretty enough for this job. NO CHANCE. Don’t even try.”

These words have shaken Emma’s self-confidence.

When she came home, she was in tears.

My wife felt devastated, and so did I. I couldn’t believe someone could be so heartless as to tell someone they are ugly right in their face.

At that moment, I was so angry that I decided to teach that sell assistant a lesson.

I called my friend Mike, a handsome man who works as a talent scout, and told him about what had happened. He was in for a sweet revenge, so we headed to the store the following day, making sure that same sell-assistant was there.

When we entered, Mike introduced himself, and I pretended to be buying something. He talked to her about modeling and told her how he was looking for a new face for an upcoming campaign.

She appeared eager to make a good impression, groomed herself and struck poses, but after some time, just when Emma entered the store, Mike told the sell assistant, “Sorry, you are not what we are looking for.” He then turned to Emma, pretending to see her for the first time in his life, and said, “Miss, have you ever considered working as a model? You would be the perfect fit.”

Emma smiled, and the sales assistant was mad to receive a taste of her own medicine.

We all left the store, and while Emma felt a bit sorry for the woman, I knew she deserved it.

I wanted Emma to learn that her self-worth and self-confidence came from within and not from what others think of her.

Wealthy Elder Pretends to Be Homeless at a Huge Grocery Store to Choose His Heir – Today’s Story

Harold Kincaid had lived through ninety years—ninety winters and summers, filled with both heartbreaks and triumphs. He was the affluent founder of Kincaid Grocers, the biggest grocery chain in Texas, and was well-known for being a savvy businessman. At ninety, Harold appeared remarkably well for his age: a lean physique, soft hazelnut-colored eyes, and a striking silver sheen in his hair. Despite all those years spent constructing his empire, he had never tied the knot or begun a family. With every passing birthday, that truth started to feel heavier on him.

On a brisk January morning, Harold found himself in his study, cradling a steaming mug of chamomile tea. Even though it was Texas, the weather had a surprisingly cool feel to it. The estate stood as a magnificent reflection of his achievements, with every piece of furniture quietly narrating tales of negotiations and growth. As he looked at the paintings hanging on the wall, it struck him that he had no direct heirs. There is no wife. There are no children. That made him feel unsettled.

He picked up the phone to call his lawyer, Martin Gray, a man who had been his advisor for many years. As soon as Martin picked up, Harold got straight to the point.

“Martin,” he said, making an effort to steady his voice despite the tremors of age. “I’ve been thinking about my will.” I’m in need of an heir. It doesn’t make sense to let my wealth sit idle or be taken by state taxes if I pass away without a strategy.

Martin let out a gentle sigh. “I understand, sir.” This isn’t the first time you’ve mentioned this. Are there any distant relatives you might think about?”

Harold couldn’t help but think back to the tough childhood he had faced, having lost his parents when he was just a toddler. No family members had come forward to take care of him. He grew up in a children’s home and ran away at fifteen to seek employment. One step at a time, he ascended the ladder of success, shaping his own future. No. “I don’t trust any of them,” he replied. “I really don’t feel like leaving everything to charity.” I want it to go to someone who genuinely values the hard work that went into it.

“I get it,” Martin replied. “I need a few days to consider other options.” <text”Let’s get together on Friday to talk about the next steps.”

“Okay,” Harold said. He hung up the phone and reclined in his leather chair, his gaze wandering over the quiet study. Yet, he wasn’t sure Martin could really create a flawless heir out of nothing. Maybe Harold could have benefited from a more personal touch.

He flipped through a notepad, jotting down potential names—old friends, leading store managers—but with every name, a sense of unease washed over him. He had come to realize that those in the business world could often be deceptive, with their apparent kindness merely a facade for their underlying greed. He threw the pad away in exasperation.

The following morning, a fresh idea struck him suddenly, illuminating his thoughts like a spark in the night. He reflected: My grocery chain provides jobs for hundreds—thousands—of individuals. There could be someone in that group who shares the same determination and resilience that I used to possess. The idea swirled around in his head. Yes, perhaps I can uncover my heir among them, much like how some people stumble upon gold in a river—by sifting through the mundane to reveal the remarkable.

Harold chose to disguise himself as a homeless man to put them to the test. If he got recognized, it just wouldn’t work out. He rummaged through a dusty trunk and pulled out a worn coat, deliberately tearing holes in the sleeves and smudging it with charcoal dust. He picked up a worn-out cane at a thrift shop to help him walk and threw on a scruffy fake beard. After one last glance in the mirror, he nodded with satisfaction; no one would suspect he was the famed Harold Kincaid, the affluent grocery magnate.

By mid-morning, he headed to one of his biggest stores, a lively spot famous for its high-end products and affluent customers. The team was proud to serve the city’s elite. Harold slipped through the automatic doors, his shoulders slumped as he tried to blend in and not attract any attention.

Right away, he sensed the unfriendly stares directed at him—customers grimacing in distaste, staff members glaring at his worn-out look. Kendra, a young cashier, was the first to break the silence, her voice dripping with disdain. “Hey there, sir, you can’t hang around here!” “We can’t let beggars come in.”

Harold gave a shy smile, trying to muster his most sorrowful look. “Please, ma’am,” he said softly, “I haven’t eaten in days.” Could I maybe grab some bread? How about a little snack?”

Kendra curled her lip. “This is a premium grocery store, not a place for free meals.” “Leave now, or I’ll have to call security.”

A sharp pang pierced through Harold’s heart. The store he had created to help the community was now rejecting him as if he were nothing of value. He struggled to keep his voice gentle. “I’m not looking to stir things up.” I’m just in the mood for a little something to eat.

But Kendra just let out a snort. “In that case, you might want to look elsewhere.” <text”A person like you should be out on the streets, not here ruining the vibe of the store.”

Harold pushed aside his disappointment and walked down an aisle, hoping that perhaps a manager or a more compassionate person would show up. Yet, at every turn, he encountered resistance. A stylishly dressed woman in line caught sight of him and flinched. “Who brought that in here?”“She snapped at the person behind her.” “He smells terrible!””

A man dressed in a designer suit interjected, “It must be some incompetent staff.” How about we toss him a few coins to send him on his way?

With a steadying breath, Harold lifted his hand softly. “I’m not asking for handouts, sir.” I could really use some help with food, if anyone’s able to assist.

However, the man just turned away, sneering.

A few moments later, a saleswoman named Chloe walked over. “Sir, it’s time for you to go,” she said firmly, motioning for him to head toward the door. “Customers have expressed concerns about your presence.” “I can’t allow you to roam around.”

Harold felt a tightness in his chest. Is this really how the world perceives those who are less fortunate? Did his store staff never learn to show compassion? He began to back away, muttering curses under his breath about how none of these people seemed to have any empathy. He couldn’t help but feel a sense of disappointment. Maybe my effort to seek an heir here was a bit foolish.

Suddenly, a commanding voice cut through the air: “Everyone, step back!”Harold spun around, taken aback. A young man with a store administrator’s name badge approached. He appeared to be around twenty-five, sporting an earnest expression and a calm, authoritative presence. “You shouldn’t treat an elderly man like that,” the young man said firmly. “This is Kincaid’s Grocery, not some exclusive club for the elite.”

Kendra frowned. “Ethan, are you for real?” If Mr. Kincaid found a homeless man hanging around, he would be absolutely livid!”

Ethan’s expression turned serious. “I actually have a pretty good understanding of Mr. Kincaid’s principles, more than you might expect.” He would never support cruelty. Alright everyone, let’s head back to our posts. “Go on.” The employees and the angry customers slowly started to leave, some muttering complaints as they went.

Then Ethan turned to Harold, his tone becoming gentler. “I apologize for their behavior, sir.” I’ll grab some groceries for you, no charge. “Come with me.”

Harold blinked, a strange sense of relief washing over him. “Really? You’d actually do that?” What if your boss never finds out?”

Ethan gave a slight, ironic smile. “He may not be aware of all the specifics, but I truly think he would be on board if he were.” Compassion is never in vain, sir. I became a part of this store because I truly admire Mr. Kincaid’s journey—his rise from humble beginnings. That’s the principle I strive to uphold in my life.

Ethan picked up a basket and led Harold down the aisles, choosing bread, canned soup, and a few pieces of fruit along the way. He scanned all the items at the register, covering the cost himself. Harold felt a sharp sting in his eyes, overwhelmed by emotion. He had nearly lost hope in discovering a good person in that place, and yet here stood a brilliant example of kindness.

When they got to the exit, Ethan passed the bag of groceries to Harold. “Here you are, sir.” I genuinely apologize for the way you were treated. “If you ever need anything else, just come and find me again.”

Stopping just by the sliding doors, Harold turned around, his voice shaking. “I appreciate it, my boy.” Why would you take a chance on getting into trouble for someone like me, just an old nobody you don’t even know?”

Ethan gave a slight shrug. “I can relate to your situation at times.” I used to be just one meal away from feeling hungry, you know? When I arrived in this city for the first time, I found myself without any money or a place to call home. A friend of Mr. Kincaid offered me an opportunity, allowing me to make a living. I’ll always remember that.

Harold felt a deep sense of unspoken gratitude swelling within him. He came to understand that he had discovered what he had been seeking. Here was a young man whose heart echoed Harold’s: filled with humility, decency, and a strong sense of purpose. “Thank you,” Harold repeated, stepping back, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. “You may not fully understand just how significant your gesture truly is.”

With that, Harold walked away, the bag of groceries held tightly against his chest. Hours later, back at his grand estate, he took off the disguise and settled into his favorite armchair, his mind racing with ideas. He thought of Ethan. Is he the true heir?

He reached out to Martin Gray shortly after. “Martin, I’ve come across a candidate.” “We should have a conversation.”

A week later, Harold shared his plan with Martin: to discreetly watch Ethan’s ongoing behavior and confirm whether he truly had the integrity Harold was looking for. In that case, Harold intended to bequeath the entire Kincaid estate to him. Martin, being careful, decided to lend a hand with the legal matters.

For months, Harold had been sneaking into the store, donning different disguises to observe how Ethan interacted with both customers and staff. Ethan consistently showed fairness and empathy to everyone around him. Little did he know that among those seemingly “shabby” patrons was the store’s founder, quietly observing acts of small kindness unfold every day. With every encounter, Harold found his confidence in Ethan blossoming.

During that time, Harold learned more about Ethan’s background. He used to be a college student, but he had to leave school to take care of his sick mother, and in the end, he lost her to cancer. Struggling with debt, he searched for low-paying jobs until he found a position at Kincaid’s Grocery, which allowed him to maintain a modest apartment. Even with his own challenges, Ethan dedicated his weekends to volunteering at a local food bank. Harold felt a strong sense of purpose as he realized this was the very spirit he wanted to nurture.

Then the day arrived when Harold’s delicate health finally gave way. At ninety-one, he battled pneumonia and ended up in the ICU, struggling for each breath, pain shooting with every inhale. Knowing that time was running out, he called for Martin Gray. As he lay on his deathbed, he signed the will that designated Ethan as the only beneficiary of his wealth—shares in Kincaid’s Grocery, real estate assets, and a significant bank account—accompanied by a letter detailing the reasons behind his choice.

When Harold passed away, the headlines read: “Founder of Kincaid’s Grocery Dies at Ninety-One.” However, it wasn’t just the news of his passing that caught everyone’s attention; it was the surprising revelation that came next: The true heir to Kincaid’s fortune was a modest store administrator named Ethan. There was a buzz among the employees: Surely, there must be some kind of mistake. Did the man really have no living relatives? Have you considered making a donation to charity? What’s the reason for choosing a random staff member?

Ethan was completely taken aback. Martin Gray called him, asking him to come to the lawyer’s office. “You really need to check this out,” Martin said, his tone mysterious. Ethan arrived, his hands trembling, wondering if he might receive a small token from Harold. Martin set a sealed envelope down in front of him, clearly marked “To Ethan, From Harold Kincaid.”

When Ethan opened it, he found a letter that almost made him cry. Harold recounted the day he had put on a disguise, sharing how nearly everyone had rejected him—except for Ethan, who had offered his support without a moment’s doubt. The letter detailed Harold’s quest for an heir who genuinely grasped the essence of kindness, mirroring the resilience and compassion that had been his guiding principles in his younger days.

The letter concluded with these words:

“Your one act of kindness in the face of the harshness I saw that day resonated more than any resume or family connection ever could.” I started this grocery chain from the ground up, just like you’re creating your life from the very beginning. Your presence reflects the legacy I always dreamed of creating. Always act with integrity, and you can’t go wrong.

—Harold Kincaid

Ethan leaned back in his chair, tears streaming down his face, the letter shaking in his grip. “He had visited the store several times… wearing a disguise?”He whispered, memories rushing back to that frigid January day, when the timid old man he had fed looked at him with tearful gratitude. It was him… the boss… My boss this whole time.

Martin gently cleared his throat. “He also left a heartfelt message encouraging you to stay true to your heart.” Kincaid’s Grocery may be large, but it’s the people like you who truly give it life.

Ethan held the letter close to his chest, at a loss for words. He recalled that day vividly: the disdain from customers, the taunts from colleagues, and how he had just noticed an elderly man in need of a meal. He could have never imagined it would come to this.

A few days later, the official reading of Harold’s will verified all the details. The whole estate, worth millions, was now officially under Ethan’s name. The board of directors at Kincaid’s Grocery, taken aback at first, soon realized they had no legal basis to challenge the new arrangement. Ethan, despite feeling overwhelmed, made a commitment to honor Harold by upholding the core values of the chain: providing quality goods, treating employees fairly, and showing compassion to those in need.

In just a month, the store that Ethan once managed began to experience some changes. He set up a dedicated charity fund to help homeless individuals. He provided staff with training on compassionate customer service, promoting those who demonstrated true kindness. Kendra and Chloe, who had so thoughtlessly confronted Harold while in disguise, ended up on probation, needing to take a hard look at their attitudes. While some employees chose to leave in protest, others thrived in the new environment that embraced empathy.

Shoppers also felt a new sense of warmth in the store’s atmosphere. The media ran with the tale of Ethan’s remarkable inheritance, portraying him as a modern-day Cinderella—rescued from the brink of poverty by a mysterious benefactor. Ethan dismissed the excitement, concentrating instead on the daily responsibilities of continuing Harold’s legacy.

One evening after the store had closed, Ethan strolled through the aisles, feeling a sense of ownership in a place that was now technically his. He stopped by the produce section, remembering how a disguised Harold had been pushed aside in that very spot. The memory hurt, a sharp reminder that true compassion cannot be given in half measures.

In the manager’s office, he looked at a photograph of Harold, which was displayed on the wall as a tribute. “Thank you,” Ethan said softly, “I won’t waste what you’ve given me.”

A year went by. With Ethan at the helm, Kincaid’s Grocery thrived like never before, achieving remarkable profits while making a significant difference in the community. He established a scholarship in Harold’s honor for underprivileged youth, making sure that no one with determination and passion would have to leave school as he once did. In the meantime, Mr. Randall, the neighbor who advised Harold to disregard the old man, noticed Ethan’s success story featured in the local news segments. He felt a heavy burden of shame and regret, but in the end, he made his way to the store to apologize to Ethan for the cruelty of that day. Ethan, choosing not to hold onto resentment, forgave him with kindness and extended an invitation to join him in volunteering at the food drive they organized each month.

Those who listened to the tale of Harold Kincaid’s last challenge were captivated by its cleverness: the affluent nonagenarian disguised himself as a homeless man to find out who genuinely deserved his wealth. While some employees labeled it unfair or strange, Ethan saw it as a true representation of who Harold must have been—a person who endured hardship, created an empire from scratch, and prioritized real empathy over shallow pleasantries.

During those peaceful times, Ethan found himself reading and rereading Harold’s letter. It brought to mind how one simple act of kindness can transform a life, or even touch the lives of many. He learned more about Harold’s life as an orphan, noticing similarities to his own challenges. What are the illusions that wealth and power bring about? To Harold, they held no significance; all he truly desired was to pass on his fortune to someone who understood him.

On certain nights, once the store had closed its doors, Ethan would find himself in Harold’s old office, the sound of his footsteps reverberating in the quiet hallway. He would think about how fate unfolds: an old man, worn and weary, standing in the cold morning air, surrounded by a store full of indifferent spectators, and that pivotal moment when Ethan decided to offer the man bread, turning a blind eye to the mocking voices around him. Everything that followed depended on that choice.

If Ethan had made a different choice—if he had decided to turn Harold away—he would have continued on as just another store administrator, barely getting by. But he didn’t. He had shared his feelings with someone he barely knew, and in that moment, he discovered the path to his own future.

In the end, Harold’s journey intertwined with Ethan’s, creating a single narrative that captured the hearts of the city: The Homeless Heir. It stood as a powerful reminder that showing empathy doesn’t require anything but can bring about incredible benefits. As the years went by, Kincaid’s Grocery gained a reputation not just for its exceptional products, but also for its generous philanthropic efforts.

Even now, a modest plaque at the entrance of the store says: “In memory of Harold Kincaid, who believed in the power of compassion.” Below it, Ethan included a brief quote: “Sometimes the greatest treasure is found when you give without expecting anything in return.” Every morning, as he walks by that plaque, Ethan experiences a gentle wave of gratitude. He understands that he is supported by the legacy of a man who, in his last moments, demonstrated that kindness could be the most valuable gift of all.

Christina Ricci in Anything Else was ‘Something Else.’ Check-out one of her best scenes ever

In 2003, Woody Allen both wrote and directed the film Anything Else, which was showcased as the opening night feature at the Venice International Film Festival.

Although it initially garnered mixed reviews, the film has subsequently developed a loyal fan base.

The narrative centers on Jerry, a young author grappling with a turbulent relationship with Amanda, his demanding girlfriend. Woody Allen excels in his role as the experienced writer, imparting valuable insights to Jason Biggs, who effectively embodies his character.

Christina Ricci delivers a remarkable performance as Amanda, skillfully portraying her character’s dependence and erratic behavior. The ensemble cast also features Jimmy Fallon, Stockard Channing, and Danny DeVito, contributing to this humorous examination of love and interpersonal dynamics.

If You Drink Every Morning A Glass Of Hot Water On An Empty Stomach This Is What Happens To Your Body.

What is your typical morning routine? With a cup of coffee or tea? I’ll tell you a little secret, though: drinking water is the finest way to start the day.

Did you know that water makes up the majority of the human body? Water makes up 75% of our muscles, 90% of our brain, 22% of our bones, and 83% of our blood. Given this, it is obvious that drinking water every day—especially in the morning—is crucial for maintaining good health.

But why should you drink water on an empty stomach? Here are 10 reasons that will convince you:

  1. Eliminates toxins: By drinking a glass or two of water in the morning, before you eat anything, you can help eliminate toxins and waste products that your body doesn’t need. This not only prevents diseases but also boosts your metabolism for the rest of the day.
  2. Assists in detoxification: During the night, your body works hard to repair cells and clean itself. By drinking water on an empty stomach, you can give your body a little extra boost and help flush out all the waste products through urine.
  3. Reduces harmful effects: Water can minimize the harmful effects of substances like alcohol, tobacco, pollution, and junk food. Starting your day with a glass of water can help neutralize these substances and protect your health.
  4. Improves skin health: Water is a fantastic ally for your skin. Drinking two cups of water on an empty stomach can help maintain its elasticity, tonicity, and prevent premature wrinkles.
  5. Supports organ health: Drinking water in the morning hydrates and protects your vital organs, ensuring they function optimally.
  6. Aids in weight loss: If you’re looking to shed some pounds, water is your best friend. It not only helps eliminate toxins but also helps burn fat and calories. By drinking 2-3 glasses of water on an empty stomach, you can reduce feelings of hunger and avoid overeating.
  7. Boosts overall health: Starting your day with water has numerous health benefits. It helps maintain a healthy lymphatic system, improves and regulates the intestinal transit, controls cortisol levels, and defends against infections.
  8. Increases energy: A glass of warm water on an empty stomach can be the perfect way to start your day with energy. It eliminates that morning grogginess and fatigue we often experience.
  9. Promotes healthy digestion: Drinking water before breakfast stimulates bowel movement, preventing and combating constipation.
  10. Relieves gastritis: If you struggle with gastritis, drinking at least 3 glasses of water on an empty stomach can help reduce acidity levels in your stomach and alleviate cramps.

ONE OF THE BEST HABITS YOU CAN GAIN IS TO DRINK WATER EVERY MORNING BEFORE DOING ANYTHING ELSE.

Now that you know the amazing benefits of drinking water on an empty stomach, how can you incorporate this habit into your daily routine?

  • Start with small amounts: If you’re new to this habit, begin with 1 glass of water on an empty stomach and gradually increase to 2 or 3 glasses.
  • Choose good quality water: Ensure that the water you drink meets the quality standards for drinking water. If necessary, invest in a water filter to ensure you’re consuming clean and healthy water.
  • Add a twist of lemon: If you want to enhance the health benefits of water, add freshly squeezed lemon juice to a glass of water and enjoy a refreshing twist.

Remember, starting your day with water sets the tone for a healthier and more energized you. So ditch your typical cup of tea or coffee and embrace the power of water. Cheers to your health!

Am I wrong?

A female churchgoer shared a story of a woman who visited the church and attended the service one Sunday but her body was covered in tattoos and she had all sorts of piercings. The person sharing the story believed the woman neither looked nor was dressed appropriately for church.

For the churchgoer, the place of worship has always been synonymous with modesty and reverence so she believed the tattooed woman didn’t belong there. The urge to tell her that was strong so she approached her after service and told her her looks wasn’t appropriate for the house of God, to what the woman replied, “How I look has nothing to do with you.”

These words made the churchgoer question her act. She wondered if she was right to feel the discomfort that stemmed from outdated beliefs rather than any real issue. She asked herself if the modern times brought the need to reconsider our assumptions about what is and what’s not appropriate to wear to church, the place where we reach to God and practice our beliefs.

The truth is that nowadays plenty of people express their creativity and personality through tattoos, so are we on the wrong to judge them for their way of self-expression?

The question that floats in the air is whether there should be a standard dress code for those who attend a service at the church and try to be closer to God by visiting his sanctuary.

Some people dress modestly because they believe they show respect for the sacredness of the place that way. Others, however, don’t think that our clothing matters because the faith is all about acceptance, compassion, and unity.

We should never forget that every person who tries to find solace at the House of God brings their personal history with them, and the tattoos, the piercings, and the unconventional clothing simply reflects their true selves and their life journey, as well as their personal struggles.

However, while valuing individuality is essential, respecting the church as a holy place is also very important.

Balancing respect for tradition with the embrace of personal expression can create a more inclusive worship space where everyone feels appreciated and welcomed.

In order to promote mutual understanding, churches may consider encouraging attire that maintains a balance between personal expression and respect for the sacred space.

Churchgoers should be invited to dress in whatever makes them feel comfortable as long as the choice of outfit is respectful to the church. This approach would let individuals respect their own style and the traditional values at the same time.

At the end of the day, it is in the core of the faith to accept everyone equally, just like our savior did with those who were marginalized and rejected by society.

World’s most muscular woman shares how she looked before, and everyone is saying the same thing

33-year-old female bodybuilder Nataliya Kuznetsova, a world champion in arm lifting, bench press, and deadlift, is dubbed the world’s most muscular woman.

This Russian “she-Hulk” was once a skinny teenager. What’s most, she used to be bullied because of it. At the age of 14, she only weighted 40kg.

Her father believed that hitting the gym could help her boost her self-confidence, and that’s when her journey in the world of bodybuilding started.

“I was a timid little mouse when I was growing up,” she recalls.

These days, the world’s most muscular woman weighs between 246 and 275 pounds.

At 15, Nataliya became a champion in bodybuilding in her region of Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia.

“Just like everyone else I first went to the gym without a goal but after three months my trainer asked me if I wanted to take part in a bodybuilding competition.’’

That marked the start of her powerlifting career.

As per The Famous People, Nataliya won the 2014 Cup of Eurasia in Vologda, Russia, and was crowned the Cup Eastern Europe (GPA) Champion in 2015.

She has been setting records in powerlifting, deadlifting, and the NAP bench press.

“It’s not about being perfect—it’s about showing up, putting in the effort and getting the work done to get you were to envision yourself to be. Everyday is another opportunity to move forward a little more,” she wrote on her Facebook account.

Besides being the world’s most muscular woman, Nataliya has a degree from Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture. She has also taken part in the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia’s performance of Manon Lescaut.

This Russian “giant” is married to former bodybuilder Vladislav Kuznetsov, whom she calls her greatest support.

She’s bigger than him, but that doesn’t bother them.

“Our love story is quite modern. We met on the Internet, more precisely, on Odnoklassniki (a social network service in Russia). For a while, we only talked as friends,” she said in 2019.

Speaking to the LedBible, she said, “People definitely recognise me. An athletic body can be seen under clothes. Many people recognise me, ask to take a photo with them. Many people even know my name.”

Nataliya struggled to find sponsors in the past, but since her powerlifting career took off, many companies offered to work with her. Currently, she’s working with nutrition companies like Oxytropin and RPS Nutrition, among the rest.

She’s aware that her looks can be “terrifying” for some, but she adds: “The classical standards and norms are long gone.”

Nataliya says her best advisor is the mirror.

“Most of my Instagram followers are men. They stand for around 75%, and it’s about the same percentage on other social networks. They write a lot. Compliments to an athlete are no different than compliments to a non-athlete,” she said.

Currently, she’s retired from powerlifting and uses her fame to help others “achieve their potential.”

Henry Winkler’s theory gains attraction as arsonists behind LA wildfires are caught on camera

Henry Winkler’s theory that an arsonist has been behind the devastating LA wildfires caught the attention of many.

Amid the grief and rage felt by those who lost everything in the fires, they are looking for answers and seeking justice by those responsible for the catastrophic destruction.

It was on January 8, 2025, that the actor, best known as The Fonz from Happy Days, wrote on X, “There is an ARSONIST here in LA. May you be beaten unrecognizable!!! The pain you have caused!!!”

His post has been seen by over 2 million people.

At the time, the LAPD stated, “There’s no way to know at this moment exactly where and how the series of fires started, but an investigation is underway.”

While there were those who dubber Henry Winkler’s theory as a simple “rumbling,” the footage that was released later on showed he might be correct.

“People are lighting fires in otherwise non-burning urban areas of LA,” the viral clip that surpassed Winkler’s tweet with more than 6.5 million views combined, was captioned.

The video shows several people throwing flammable objects into a massive fire in Santa Monica, California, while onlookers watch in shock as the flames intensify and threaten nearby trees.

“Stay safe and call in any activity ASAP. We don’t need more flames out here,”a retweet wrote.

Sadly, certain citizens decided to add to the catastrophe with their actions.

“Disgusting. It feels like LA is under attack right now. Fires are everywhere. Stay safe!” someone wrote.

Thousands of homes, businesses, and landmarks have been destroyed, and according to reports, the death toll is 24.

The police reported that a suspect has been arrested in connection to the wildfires, but his identity has not been revealed.

As per Fox Newsthe arrest happened around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, near the area of Arcos Drive and Galendo Street. The residents in the area witnessed a man on a bicycle carrying a torch and trying to lit old Christmas trees and garbage cans on fire. Luckily, they managed to stop him and even zip-tie him.

They detained the man until police arrived at the scene.

Netizens reacted with outrage to the videos of arsonists creating additional chaos, demanding their swift prosecution.

“Arrest them all now,” someone wrote. “This feels like a third-world country.”

“Did you get the name of the person you saw lighting the fire? We need to know!” another asked.

“I can’t believe this!” someone else added. “This is so evil.”

“What’s with these arsonists? What are they trying to achieve?” a person asked.

“More than 99% chance there are bad actors going around taking advantage of the chaos.”

Does drinking water first thing in the morning offer benefits?

Approximately 60 percent of the human body is made up of water. With that in mind, we know water is essential for life, but have you ever wondered just how beneficial it is to drink water first thing in the morning?

The truth is that there are plenty of myths and truths about this morning practice, so let’s take a look at the potential benefits.

Water is crucial for most bodily functions, including controlling body temperature, aiding digestion, and facilitating the movement of nutrients and waste in and out of cells.

Throughout the day, the body loses water through sweat, urine, breath, and body movements. So, it is essential to take enough water in order to make up for these loses.

Otherwise, it can lead to dehydration.

Having water first thing in morning is believed to rehydrate the body, but this isn’t entirely true.

Many people believe that the color of their urine is an indicator of how hydrated they are, but according to a number of studies, this does not necessarily reflect one’s hydration status accurately.

While drinking water first thing in the morning does offer certain benefits, the timing of water consumption may not be the determining factor in these outcomes.

The claims that drinking water on an empty stomach improves mental performance or skin health are also not scientifically proven. Hydration does impact the body and skin regardless of the time of the day you have your water. The key is staying hydrated throughout the day, not necessarily drink water first thing in the morning.

When it comes to the relationship between drinking water and weight loss, it’s a complex one. Drinking enough water provides a feeling of fullness, and with that, reduced calorie consumption.

Studied claim that water-induced thermogenesis can accelerate metabolism, but the time we drink water doesn’t affect weight loss results significantly. What’s most, water consumption shortly before a meal might interfere with digestion.

The daily water intake depends on several factors, such as age, gender, activity level, and overall health.

A common guideline many people stick to is the “8×8” rule. This refers to drinking 8-ounce glasses of water per day, but again, this is different from person to person.

In conclusion, drinking enough water throughout the day is essential for our overall health and well-being, though the time we drink it shouldn’t be a major concern.

My daughter and My Son In Law shamed me for getting a tattoo at 75. So I decided to give them a lesson

My daughter and Son In Law shamed me for getting a tattoo at 75. I decided to give them a lesson- STORY OF THE DAY

It was a sunny morning in New Orleans, and Elis, at 75, decided to do something bold and unexpected. The idea of getting a tattoo had been bubbling in her mind for a while. She wanted to feel young again, to embrace life with a fresh sense of vigor. So, she walked into a tattoo parlor, chose a delicate design that symbolized her resilience and love for life, and got inked. She felt a rush of excitement and satisfaction as she admired the artwork on her arm. This was her statement to the world: age was just a number.

The Unexpected Backlash

Excited to share her new tattoo, Elis invited her family over for a small gathering. She imagined their surprise and hoped for a positive reaction. However, the moment her daughter saw the tattoo, her face twisted in disapproval.

“Mom, what on earth were you thinking?” she exclaimed. “At your age, getting a tattoo is not just inappropriate, it’s downright embarrassing. You’re supposed to be a dignified grandmother, not some rebellious teenager. It looks ridiculous, and people will laugh at you.”

Elis felt a pang of hurt, but what followed was even worse. Her son-in-law, whom she had always treated like her own son, burst into uncontrollable laughter. He laughed so hard that he could barely stand, tears streaming down his face.

“That’s hilarious, Mom! Seriously, a tattoo at your age?” he managed to say between fits of laughter. Elis’s heart sank. It wasn’t just the words; it was the cruel mockery that hurt the most. She felt humiliated and deeply wounded by their reactions.

Planning the Perfect Payback

Determined not to let their harsh words and laughter define her, Elis decided to turn her pain into power. She recalled how her son-in-law, a man who did nothing but dream of becoming a millionaire while relying on her daughter for everything, had hurt her deeply. This was the final straw. Elis resolved to teach him a lesson he would never forget.

Over the next two days, Elis meticulously planned her revenge. She decided to expose her son-in-law’s laziness and lack of ambition in a way that would be both humiliating and eye-opening for him. She reached out to a few of her friends who were skilled in various trades, including one who was an excellent actor.

The Day of Reckoning

Two days later, Elis put her plan into action. She invited her family over again, this time under the pretense of needing help with some household repairs. Her son-in-law, always looking for an excuse to avoid real work, reluctantly agreed to come.

When they arrived, they found Elis waiting with a toolbox and a list of chores that needed to be done. She handed the list to her son-in-law, who looked bewildered.

“What’s this?” he asked, confused.

“I thought you could help out with these tasks,” Elis said sweetly. “After all, you’re always talking about how handy you are.”

He glanced at the list, which included tasks like fixing the leaky faucet, repairing a broken fence, and rewiring a lamp. He looked around, realizing there was no way he could do any of these tasks.

Just as he was about to protest, Elis’s friend, the actor, arrived dressed as a professional contractor. He introduced himself and began to demonstrate how to tackle each task, making it look easy. The son-in-law watched, flustered and embarrassed, as he fumbled with the tools, unable to keep up.

A Lesson Learned

As the day progressed, it became clear that the son-in-law was utterly incapable of completing even the simplest tasks. Elis watched with a mixture of satisfaction and pity. Her daughter, seeing her husband’s incompetence, began to realize how much she had been enabling his laziness.

Elis’s plan worked perfectly. By the end of the day, her son-in-law was exhausted, humiliated, and forced to confront his lack of practical skills. Elis pulled him aside and, with a calm but firm voice, said, “You laughed at me for wanting to feel young and alive again. But look at you now. Maybe it’s time you grew up and started taking responsibility for your life.”

Her words struck a chord. The son-in-law, humbled by the experience, apologized for his behavior. He promised to make a real effort to improve and become more self-reliant. Elis accepted his apology but made it clear that she would not tolerate any more disrespect.

Moving Forward

In the weeks that followed, Elis noticed a change in her son-in-law. He began taking on more responsibilities and actively sought to better himself. Her daughter, too, started to appreciate her mother’s strength and independence.

As for Elis, she continued to embrace life with the same youthful spirit that led her to get the tattoo. She joined a local fitness class, started attending social events, and even began dating again. She proved to herself and everyone around her that age was no barrier to living life to the fullest.

Elis’s bold step had not only rejuvenated her spirit but also brought about a much-needed change in her family. And every time she looked at her tattoo, she smiled, reminded of the strength and courage it took to stand up for herself and teach a valuable lesson in the process.

Elderberries are celebrated for the various health benefits they offer, especially for enhancing the immune system and promoting heart health.

They have been used for their medical properties for centuries. Even the ancient civilizations and the Indigenous communities used these berries to treat various conditions, such as fever and rheumatism. These people believed that elderberries can enhance the skin health, too.

When it comes to fighting the flu, elderberries should be the first fruit to reach for, as their consumption reduces the severity and the duration of the infection.

Alternative medicine offers various syrups and capsules to help against the flu, with elderberries as the key component.

Good for the health of the heart

Research suggests that elderberries may offer heart health support by lowering blood fats and cholesterol. The flavonoids, such as anthocyanins, found in elderberries play a role in cardiovascular health and help reduce the risk of heart disease.

Helps eliminate harmful bacteria

Elderberries possess natural antimicrobial qualities that help in fighting harmful bacteria and infections. Their bioactive compounds help prevent pathogen growth and boost the body’s immune defenses.

Helps fight cancer

These sweet berries that we all enjoy so much may be tiny, but they are powerful enough to help fight cancer. That’s all thanks to their ability to inhibit tumor growth and protect against DNA damage.

Can protect against UV rays

By reducing oxidative stress and inflammation caused by sun exposure, elderberries may help protect the skin from harmful UV rays and reduce the risk of premature aging and sunburn.
