They had known one another for several years.<\/p>\n

One evening, there was a community supper in the large activity center.<\/p>\n

These two were at the same table, across from one another.<\/p>\n

As the meal went on, he made a few admiring glances at her and finally gathered up his courage to ask her, \u201cWill you marry me?\u201d<\/p>\n

After a dramatic pause and precisely six seconds of \u2018careful consideration,\u2019 she answered.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes. Yes, I will.\u201d<\/p>\n

The meal ended and with a few more pleasant exchanges and they went to their respective places.<\/p>\n

Next morning, he was troubled.<\/p>\n

\u201cDid she say \u2018yes\u2019 or did she say \u2018no\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n

He couldn\u2019t remember.<\/p>\n

Try as he would, he just could not recall.<\/p>\n

Not even a faint memory.<\/p>\n

With trepidation, he went to the telephone and called her.<\/p>\n

First, he explained to her that he didn\u2019t remember as well as he used to.<\/p>\n

Then he reviewed the lovely evening past.<\/p>\n

As he gained a little more courage, he then inquired of her, \u201cWhen I asked if you would marry me, did you say \u2018Yes\u2019 or did you say \u2018No\u2019?\u201d<\/p>\n

He was delighted to hear her say, \u201cWhy, I said, \u2018Yes, yes I will\u2019 and I meant it with all my heart.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then she continued, \u201cAnd I am so glad that you called because I couldn\u2019t remember who had asked me.\u201d<\/p>\n

75-year-old Marvin arrives at work<\/strong><\/h2>\n

One morning, seventy-five-year-old Marvin arrives at work and is promptly reminded by his secretary that today is his wife\u2019s birthday.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

At lunch, he heads to the mall in search of the perfect gift. But as he browses, he realizes that after all these years, his wife has everything she could possibly need. Just as he\u2019s about to give up, he passes a lingerie store and has an idea\u2014his wife has never owned anything like this before!<\/p>\n

Determined to make her feel young and beautiful, Marvin walks in and tells the sales clerk, \u201cGive me the most expensive, sheerest negligee you\u2019ve got\u2014and wrap it up fancy.\u201d<\/p>\n

With his exciting purchase in hand, Marvin rushes home. Finding his wife in the kitchen, he hands her the package and says, \u201cGo upstairs, unwrap this, and put it on. I\u2019ll wait down here.\u201d<\/p>\n

His wife, touched by the gesture, takes the gift and heads to the bedroom. When she opens the box, she\u2019s surprised\u2014it\u2019s so sheer it\u2019s practically invisible! She thinks for a moment, then decides to really surprise Marvin. Why bother with the negligee at all? She leaves it on the bed and confidently walks downstairs stark n.a.k3d.<\/p>\n

\u201cMarvin,\u201d she calls out, \u201ccome to the hallway and take a look!\u201d<\/p>\n

Marvin steps out, looks up at his wife standing at the top of the stairs, and gasps. Then he shakes his head and mutters, \u201cAll that money\u2026 and they didn\u2019t even iron it.\u201d<\/p>\n
