In a small coastal village, a fisherman was strolling up the dock, proudly carrying two large, lively lobsters \u2014 one in each hand.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The only problem? Lobster season had ended three weeks ago!<\/p>\n

Just as he reached the end of the dock, he bumped right into the local Fisheries Officer. The officer raised an eyebrow and said, \u201cWell, well\u2026 looks like I\u2019ve finally caught you red-handed! Two fresh lobsters, and the season\u2019s been closed for weeks!\u201d<\/p>\n

The fisherman shook his head and replied, \u201cOh, you\u2019ve got it all wrong! These aren\u2019t just any lobsters \u2014 these two are trained. I caught them before the season ended.\u201d<\/p>\n

The officer blinked. \u201cTrained? What do you mean?\u201d<\/p>\n

The fisherman explained, \u201cEvery day I bring them down here for a swim. I let them stretch their legs in the water while I sit and enjoy a smoke. When I\u2019m done, I give a little whistle and they come right back to me!\u201d<\/p>\n

The officer, curious but skeptical, said, \u201cAlright, let\u2019s see this for myself.\u201d<\/p>\n

So they walked back down the dock. Under the officer\u2019s watchful eye, the fisherman carefully placed both lobsters into the water. Then he sat on the dock, lit a cigarette, and relaxed.<\/p>\n

Fifteen minutes passed. The officer finally asked, \u201cWell? Aren\u2019t you going to whistle for them?\u201d<\/p>\n

The fisherman looked around and replied, \u201cWhistle for who?\u201d<\/p>\n

The officer said, \u201cFor your lobsters, of course!\u201d<\/p>\n

The fisherman grinned and said, \u201cWhat lobsters?\u201d<\/p>\n
