Ahead of him is a guy dressed in sunglasses, a flashy shirt, a leather jacket, and jeans.<\/p>\n
Saint Peter greets the cool guy, \u201cWho are you, so I can decide if you should enter Heaven?\u201d<\/p>\n
The guy replies, \u201cI\u2019m Jack, a retired airline pilot from Houston.\u201d Saint Peter checks his list and smiles. \u201cTake this silken robe and golden staff, and enter the Kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n
Jack walks into Heaven with his robe and staff. Now it\u2019s the priest\u2019s turn. Standing tall, he declares, \u201cI am Father Bob, pastor of Saint Mary\u2019s for the last 43 years.\u201d<\/p>\n
Saint Peter consults his list and says, \u201cTake this cotton robe and wooden staff and enter the Kingdom.\u201d<\/p>\n
The priest, a bit miffed, asks, \u201cJust a moment. That man was a pilot and got a silken robe and golden staff. I only get cotton and wood. How is that fair?\u201d<\/p>\n
Saint Peter replies, \u201cHere, we judge by results. When you preached, people slept. When he flew, people prayed.\u201d<\/p>\n
