An elderly Pope arrives in New York and is picked up at the airport by a limousine.<\/p>\n
Upon seeing the car, he gestures to the driver and says, \u201cCould I ask you a favor?\u201d<\/p>\n
The driver, astonished, replies, \u201cA favor from the Pope? Of course, anything!\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWell,\u201d says the Pope, \u201cI don\u2019t get to drive much, and I\u2019d love the chance to drive now. Would you let me take the wheel?\u201d<\/p>\n
The driver is taken aback. What if the Pope gets into an accident? But he feels he can\u2019t refuse His Holiness, so he reluctantly agrees and lets the Pope take the driver\u2019s seat.<\/p>\n
To his shock, the Pope starts the car, revs the engine, and speeds off, leaving a trail of rubber on the road! He zooms through the streets, well over 100 mph in a 45 mph zone.<\/p>\n
Soon, a police car pulls up beside them and signals for the limo to stop. The Pope slams on the brakes, coming to a screeching halt, with the police car following suit.<\/p>\n
The officer steps out, peers inside the limo, and then quickly steps back.<\/p>\n
He radios his sergeant:<\/p>\n
\u201cSir, I\u2019ve got a situation.\u201d<\/p>\n
The sergeant replies, \u201cWhat\u2019s the problem?\u201d<\/p>\n
The officer hesitates. \u201cWell, I pulled over this driver for speeding, but he\u2019s\u2026 really important.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cImportant like the mayor?\u201d asks the sergeant.<\/p>\n
\u201cNo, much more important than that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe governor?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cMuch more than that.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe President?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cEven more important than him.\u201d<\/p>\n
The sergeant, confused, asks, \u201cWho\u2019s more important than the President?\u201d<\/p>\n
