Juan comes up to the Mexican border on his bicycle.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s got two large bags over his shoulders. The guard stops him and says, \u201cWhat\u2019s in the bags?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSand,\u201d answered Juan.<\/p>\n
The guard says, \u201cWe\u2019ll just see about that \u2013 get off the bike!\u201d The guard takes the bags and rips them apart, he empties them out and finds nothing in them but sand. He detains Juan overnight and has the sand analyzed, only to discover that there is nothing but pure sand in the bags.<\/p>\n
The guard releases Juan, puts the sand into new bags, hefts them onto the man\u2019s shoulders, and lets him cross the border.<\/p>\n
The next day, the same thing happens. The guard asks, \u201cWhat have you got?\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSand,\u201d says Juan.<\/p>\n
The guard does his thorough examination and discovers that the bags contain nothing but sand. He gives the sand back to Juan, and Juan crosses the border on his bicycle.<\/p>\n
This sequence of events is repeated every day for a year.<\/p>\n
Finally, Juan doesn\u2019t show up one day and the guard meets him in a Cantina in Mexico.<\/p>\n
\u201cHey, buddy,\u201d says the guard, \u201cI know you are smuggling something. It\u2019s driving me crazy. It\u2019s all I think about\u2026 I can\u2019t sleep. Just between you and me, what are you smuggling?\u201d<\/p>\n
