Tom Reynolds boarded his flight to Chicago and made his way to the aisle seat he had reserved. To his surprise, a blonde woman was already sitting there.
\u201cExcuse me,\u201d Tom said, trying to stay polite. \u201cThat\u2019s my seat. I specifically booked it.\u201d
The woman looked up and said confidently, \u201cI\u2019m blonde, I\u2019m smart, and I\u2019m sitting in this aisle seat until the plane lands in Chicago.\u201d
Tom frowned and checked her ticket. Sure enough, it clearly showed she was assigned the middle seat.
\u201cYour ticket says you\u2019re in the middle,\u201d he pointed out. \u201cI booked this aisle seat because I\u2019m six-foot-five, and I need the legroom. You\u2019re, what, five-foot-one? You\u2019ll be just fine in the middle seat.\u201d
The blonde, completely unfazed, repeated, \u201cI\u2019m blonde, I\u2019m smart, and I\u2019m sitting in this aisle seat until the plane lands in Chicago.\u201d
The woman in the window seat chimed in, \u201cYou should probably move. My ex was only six-foot-one, and he always needed the aisle seat to avoid feeling cramped.\u201d
Still, the blonde replied, \u201cI\u2019m blonde, I\u2019m smart, and I\u2019m sitting in this aisle seat until the plane lands in Chicago.\u201d
Frustrated, Tom finally called over a flight attendant. After listening to the situation, the attendant nodded, leaned down, and whispered something in the blonde\u2019s ear.
Suddenly, the blonde\u2019s expression changed. Without a word, she grabbed her things and moved to the middle seat.
Relieved, Tom settled into his aisle seat.
After landing in Chicago, curiosity got the better of him. He approached the flight attendant and asked, \u201cWhat did you say to her?\u201d
