A young couple decided to wed. As the big day approached, they grew apprehensive.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Each had a problem they had never before shared with anyone, not even each other.
\nThe Groom-to-be, hoping to overcome his fear, decided to ask his father for advice. \u201cFather, I am deeply concerned about the success of my marriage.\u201d<\/p>\n

His father replied, \u201cDo you love this girl?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh yes, very much,\u201d he said,\u201d but you see, I have very smelly feet, and I\u2019m afraid that my fiance will be put off by them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo problem,\u201d said his father, \u201cAll you have to do is wash your feet as often as possible, and always wear socks, even to bed.\u201d Well, to him this seemed a workable solution.<\/p>\n

The bride-to-be, overcoming her fear, decided to discuss her problem with her mom. \u201cMom,\u201d she said, \u201cWhen I wake up in the morning my breath is truly awful.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHoney,\u201d her mother consoled, \u201cEveryone has bad breath in the morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNo, you don\u2019t understand. My morning breath is so bad, I\u2019m afraid that my fiance will not want to sleep in the same room with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her mother said simply, \u201cIn the morning, get straight out of bed, and head for the kitchen and make breakfast. While the family is busy eating, go to the bathroom and brush your teeth. The key is not to say a word until you\u2019ve brushed your teeth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI shouldn\u2019t say good morning or anything?\u201d the daughter asked.<\/p>\n

\u201cNot a word,\u201d her mother affirmed.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, it\u2019s certainly worth a try,\u201d she thought.<\/p>\n

The loving couple were finally married. Not forgetting the advice each had received, he with his perpetual socks and she with her morning silence, they managed quite well. That is, until about six months later. Shortly before dawn one morning, the husband wakes with a start to find that one of his socks had come off. Fearful of the consequences, he frantically searches the bed. This, of course, wakes his bride and without thinking, she asks, \u201cWhat on earth are you doing?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh no!\u201d he replied, \u201cYou\u2019ve swallowed my sock!\u201d<\/p>\n

One day the husband comes home from work and his wife says, \u201cHoney, you know, in the upstairs bathroom one of the pipes is leaking, could you fix it?\u201d<\/p>\n

The husband says, \u201cWhat do I look like, Mr. Plumber?\u201d<\/p>\n

A few days pass, and he comes home from work, his wife says, \u201cHoney, the car won\u2019t start. I think a new battery is needed. Could you change it for me? \u201d<\/p>\n

He says, \u201cWhat do I look like, Mr. Goodwrench?\u201d<\/p>\n

Another few days go by, and it\u2019s raining pretty hard.<\/p>\n

The wife finds a leak in the roof.<\/p>\n

She says, \u201cHoney, there\u2019s a leak on the roof! Can you please fix it?\u201d<\/p>\n

He says, \u201cWhat do I look like, Bob Vila?\u201d<\/p>\n

The next day the husband comes home and the roof is fixed.<\/p>\n

So is the plumbing. So is the car. He asks his wife what happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, I had a handyman come in and fix them,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreat! How much is that going to cost me?\u201d he snarls.<\/p>\n

The wife says, \u201cNothing. He said he\u2019d do it for free if I either baked him a cake or slept with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUh, well, what kind of cake did you make?\u201d asks the husband.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat do I look like,\u201d she says, \u201cBetty Crocker?\u201d<\/p>\n
