There were five people aboard an airplane that was experiencing engine trouble and about to crash.<\/h2>\n

The problem? There were only four parachutes.<\/p>\n

As everyone tried to figure out who should get the parachutes, the first person stood up and said, \u201cI\u2019m the smartest person to ever walk the Earth. The world cannot afford to lose me.\u201d Without waiting for a response, he grabbed a parachute and jumped out of the plane.<\/p>\n

The second person said, \u201cI\u2019m a mother, and my family depends on me. I can\u2019t let them down.\u201d She quickly took a parachute and leapt out as well.<\/p>\n

The third person declared, \u201cI\u2019m the head of my household and the sole breadwinner. My family\u2019s survival depends on me.\u201d With that, he grabbed a parachute and jumped too.<\/p>\n

Now, only two people remained: a 65-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy.<\/p>\n

The old man turned to the boy and said, \u201cSon, I\u2019ve lived a full life. You\u2019re young and have your whole future ahead of you. You take the last parachute.\u201d<\/p>\n

The boy looked at him and smiled. \u201cDon\u2019t worry, Sir. There are still two parachutes left.\u201d<\/p>\n

The old man was puzzled. \u201cHow\u2019s that possible?\u201d<\/p>\n

The boy chuckled and said, \u201cWell, the guy who thought he was the smartest person on Earth? He grabbed my backpack.\u201d<\/p>\n

A woman and a lawyer were seated next to each other on a flight. The lawyer asked if she would like to play a fun game.<\/h2>\n

The woman, tired, just wanted to take a nap, politely declined and rolled over to the window to catch a few winks. The lawyer persists and explains that the game is easy and a lot of fun. He explained, \u201cI ask you a question, and if you don\u2019t know the answer, you pay me $5.00, and vice versa.\u201d<\/p>\n

Again, she declines and tries to get some sleep.<\/p>\n

The lawyer, now agitated, says, \u201cOkay, if you don\u2019t know the answer you pay me $5.00, and if I don\u2019t know the answer, I will pay you $500.00.\u201d<\/p>\n

This catches the woman\u2019s attention and, figuring there will be no end to this torment unless she plays, agrees to the game.<\/p>\n

The lawyer asks the first question. \u201cWhat\u2019s the distance from the earth to the moon?\u201d<\/p>\n

The woman doesn\u2019t say a word, reaches into her purse, pulls out a $5.00 bill and hands it to the lawyer. \u201cOkay,\u201d says the lawyer, \u201cyour turn\u201d.<\/p>\n

She asks the lawyer, \u201cWhat goes up a hill with three legs and comes down with four legs?\u201d<\/p>\n

The lawyer, puzzled, takes out his laptop computer and searches all his references, no answer. He taps into the air phone with his modern and searches the net and the library of congress, no answer. Frustrated, he sends e- mail to all his friends and coworkers, to no avail. After an hour, he wakes the woman, and hands her $500.00.<\/p>\n

The woman says, \u201cThank you,\u201d and turns back to get some more sleep.<\/p>\n

The lawyer, who is more than a little miffed, wakes the woman and asks, \u201cWell, what\u2019s the answer?\u201d<\/p>\n

Without a word, the woman reaches into her purse, hands the lawyer $5.00, and goes back to sleep.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
