Walking through Chinatown, a tourist is fascinated with all the Chinese restaurants, shops, signs and banners.<\/h2>\n

He turns a corner and sees a building with the sign, \u201cHans Olaffsen\u2019s Laundry.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHans Olaffsen?\u201d, he muses. \u201cHow the heck does that fit in here?\u201d So he walks into the shop and sees an old Chinese gentleman behind the counter.<\/p>\n

The tourist asks, \u201cHow did this place get a name like \u2018Hans Olaffsen\u2019s Laundry?’\u201d<\/p>\n

The old man answers, \u201cIs name of owner.\u201d<\/p>\n

The tourist asks, \u201cWell, who and where is the owner?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMe, is right here,\u201d replies the old man.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou? How did you ever get a name like Hans Olaffsen?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIs simple,\u201d says the old man. \u201cMany, many year ago when come to this country, was stand in line at Documentation Center. Man in front was big blonde Swede. Lady look at him and go, \u2018What your name?\u2019<\/p>\n

He say, \u2018Hans Olaffsen.\u2019<\/p>\n

Then she look at me and go, \u2018What your name?\u2019<\/p>\n

I say,\u00a0\u2018Sem Ting.’\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Upon entering the little country store,<\/h2>\n
<\/div>\n

the stranger noticed a sign saying \u201cDANGER! BEWARE OF DOG!\u201d posted on the glass door. Inside he noticed a harmless old hound dog asleep on the floor besides the cash register.<\/p>\n

He asked the store manager, \u201cIs that the dog folks are supposed to beware of?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYep, that\u2019s him,\u201d he replied.<\/p>\n

The stranger couldn\u2019t help but be amused. \u201cThat certainly doesn\u2019t look like a dangerous dog to me. Why in the world would you post that sign?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause,\u201d the owner replied, \u201cbefore I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened?\u201d asked the hospital visitor to the heavily bandaged man sitting up in bed.<\/h2>\n

\u201cWell, I went down to Margate at the weekend and decided to take a ride on the roller coaster. As we came up to the top of the highest loop, I noticed a little sign by the side of the track. I tried to read it but it was very small and I couldn\u2019t make it out.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was so curious that I decided to go round again, but we went by so quickly that I couldn\u2019t see what the sign said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy now, I was determined to read that sign so I went round a third time. As we reached the top, I stood up in the car to get a better view.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd did you manage to see what the sign said this time?\u201d asked the visitor.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat did it say?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t stand up in the car!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n
