An elderly couple, Harold and Edna, had been married for over 60 years.<\/strong><\/h2>\n

They had shared everything, talked about everything, and kept no secrets from each other\u2014except for one.<\/p>\n

Edna had a shoebox in her closet, and she had told Harold never to open it or ask about it. For decades, he respected her wishes, never giving the box a second thought.<\/p>\n

One day, Edna fell gravely ill, and the doctor told Harold she didn\u2019t have much time left. With a heavy heart, Harold sat beside his wife and said, \u201cEdna, I love you. We\u2019ve been through everything together. Before you go, can I finally know what\u2019s inside that shoebox?\u201d<\/p>\n

Edna smiled weakly and nodded. \u201cGo ahead and open it, dear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harold opened the box and was astonished to find two crocheted dolls and a stack of money totaling $95,000!<\/p>\n

Confused, he asked, \u201cEdna, what is this?\u201d<\/p>\n

She took his hand and explained, \u201cBefore we got married, my grandmother gave me some advice. She told me that every time I got angry with you, instead of arguing, I should crochet a doll.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harold\u2019s eyes welled up with tears. After all these years together, there were only two dolls in the box! \u201cEdna,\u201d he said, overcome with emotion, \u201cthat means you\u2019ve only been mad at me twice in 60 years?\u201d<\/p>\n

She nodded with a sweet smile.<\/p>\n

Harold beamed. \u201cThat\u2019s amazing, my love. But\u2026 what about all this money?\u201d<\/p>\n

He went downstairs and yelled. \u201cHoney, what\u2019s for supper?\u201d Still no response.<\/p>\n

He entered the living room and yelled again. \u201cHoney, what\u2019s for supper?\u201d<\/p>\n

No response.<\/p>\n

He even stands just outside the kitchen and yells.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s for supper?\u201d and yet no response.<\/p>\n

Finally, he stands directly behind her and asks, \u201cHoney. What\u2019s for supper?!\u201d<\/p>\n

She turns around and says \u201cDamn!t Al, for the hundredth time, CHICKEN!!!\u201d<\/p>\n
