It enlightens us and expands our awareness psychologically, [offering an] expansion of consciousness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n \u201dA lot of contemporary neuroscientists believe during REM sleep, the brain is involved in maintenance tasks, and it accidentally \u2018kicks up dust,\u2019 visually. At that end, dreaming is considered totally meaningless.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>On the other hand he explains,\u00a0\u201cThe other end is that dreaming is more substantial than waking. And we see this in \u2018dream cultures,\u2019 such as the indigenous people of Australia, who believe dreaming is intrinsic to our spiritual existence.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n Experts place these dreams into four categories.<\/p>\n No matter what we feel about dreams, the truth is that they offer something deep and meaningful.
